Launch of swissintell.org – the Swiss Association for Market Research, Competitive Intelligence and Strategic Planning (SMCS)

Communication from swissintell.org – the Swiss Association for Market Research, Competitive Intelligence and Strategic Planning (SMCS) represents and supports professionals engaged in competitive intelligence activities, market research and analysis and strategic planning in Switzerland.

As announced to our members already: our General Assembly approved a major overhaul of our association on March 1st.

Setting out to grow across the country and beyond ‘competitive intelligence’ we decided for a face lift, a whole set of strategic goals and a new name no less.

1. SCIA will be swissintell.org

Besides this new umbrella brand we will also use more descriptive titles in the country languages and English (Italian at a later point).

SMCS – Swiss Association for Market Research, Competitive Intelligence and Strategic Planning

ASVIE – Association Suisse en Veille Stratégique et Intelligence Economique

Keeping things simple though: we will refer to us as swissintell.org in all areas. The administrative titles will be visible in language specific materials (like in document footers, official titles).

The new name swissintell.org also demonstrates a much stronger emphasis on digital engagement and social media.

2. New logo

Also regardless the region or language we will all use our new logo “connecting the dots”. It shows what our members do in their profession and that we proudly represent them and form a unit across the many job functions and industries.

3. Strategy for growth

Our new strategic plan 2016-20 includes exciting initiatives from “Academia”, to “Startups” to improved content to a modern digital strategy and geographic expansion. We have started to introduce these initiatives to our members and we will also discuss their activities and outcomes publicly.

As a volunteer-based non-profit organization with limited resources all changes will be introduced gradually.

Our new website swissintell.org is live now (English, translations are underway).
